How to Play Secret Desires: Part 1: Setting Up the Game: Before you begin playing the game you should set the Player Settings and Game Options to make sure you get the most from your game. The player settings ensure that the game "knows" your
individual preferences (what you like and dislike sexually, the clothing you are wearing and so on). The game options allow you to choose what you want to happen in your game. For example, there are many different gameplay modules and these can be toggled on and off in the game options screen. You can also tell the game how much of a certain gameplay aspect you want, so you can have a little of something or a lot of something as you prefer. The various gameplay selections that are accessible from the Game Options screen. It should be noted that Secret Desires is a game based around the user selections made during
player and game setup. The artificial intelligence chooses interactions that it thinks both players will enjoy. For this reason its very important to be as honest as possible when setting up the individual preferences. For details of setting your individual preferences, see Getting Started.

 The game options screen. See Game Options for details of setting these controls. Part 2: Game Walkthrough - Long Game: Once you have made your changes to the player and game settings, return to the main screen.
Press the "Play" button to begin the game. For our example game walkthrough we will assume that all gameplay aspects have been selected, although this is not recommended as the Drinking Game module should be applied with moderation. Also, a game played with all gameplay aspects turned on can take an extremely long time and will not suit everyone's tastes. We’ve included various Gameplay Presets that our staff members and their friends
have put together. Use these to quickly change the type and frequency of gameplay aspects according to the settings our staff and friends chose. My personal favorite is “Cassandra’s Crossing” - that’s why its at the top of the list! Try it and let me know what you think.  The main gameplay screen, which appears when you play the game. This screen is used to keep track of each players cash, clothing, predicament status (whether they are tied up, blindfolded or etc.) and how long and far the game has been playing. The female player is first "up". She presses the "Click to Begin" button to start her sexy adventure.
The Secret Desires gameplay module will be invoked and the Secret Desires chooser displayed as indicated below.
 Secret Desires choose screen - one of the most integral parts of this game and the module from which the game itself has taken its name. The Secret Desires module allows for a more risqué experience during gameplay. Any fetishes you
have selected as a Secret Desire can be included here, and the explicitness level of an interaction may be above the current game level. When the dice is rolled a random number of Secret Desires are picked from the activity database. A vague description of each interaction is shown on each panel as indicated below. After reviewing the descriptions the current player must click the panel that has the interaction they think they will enjoy the most.

When the player has made her choice the Interaction Screen will be displayed as shown below. This screen will contain the full interaction as chosen by the current player, along with options to review / rate this interaction as they perform it (or have it performed for their pleasure by the opposing player!).

The whole point of Secret Desires is to have a good time. Well, a GREAT TIME actually. So don’t take things so seriously. Don’ force yourself - or your partner - to participate in activities that you or they don’t like. Believe me, that’s a sure recipe for
disaster. The whole theme here should be to CHILL and let the game happen. And believe me, it’s a happening game... Once the interaction has been performed the current player uses the "Your Rating" buttons to rate the interaction and close the Interaction Screen at the same time. All screens that involve
interactions have this rating device, which is used by the game's internal logic to determine how to predict your future interaction preferences. The current player is now presented with her next gameplay module. In this case a Drinking game. The Drinking Game screen is displayed as indicated below.

Alcohol has its good and bad points. You have to bear this in mind when you include it in your gameplay. Make sure you know when enough is enough already. Once the interaction has been performed the current player uses the "Your Rating" buttons to rate
the interaction and close the Interaction Screen at the same time. The current player is next presented with the next gameplay module. In this case a Perform Sexy Task interaction. This module involves the current player treating her opponent to a sexy reward (massage, kiss, etc.). The nature of the task is determined based on the current game status (level,
speed, clothing condition of each player) and the personal preferences of both players.

the interaction and close the Interaction Screen at the same time. The current player is next presented with the next gameplay module. In this case a Receive Surprise
interaction. This module involves the current player receiving a sexy reward (kiss, caress, massage, etc.) from the opposing player. The nature of the task is determined based on the current game status (level, speed, clothing condition of each player) and the personal preferences of both players.

Challenge interaction. This module involves the current player being asked to perform a physical challenge. The current player will win or lose a cash value depending on whether they can perform the challenge or not.

physical challenges. One the Athletic Challenge has been attempted (or refused!) the Crazy Charades gameplay module is presented. The Crazy Charades module is a fun non-sexual aspect of the game that involves the current player performing a charade based on a random combination of well known people, places or objects. Crazy Charades have to be tried to be understood.

The opposing player must guess the charade that the current player is performing. In most cases it's impossible to guess exactly what is being mimed (ever tried miming Kermit the Frog arm wrestling Steven Seagal?) so the awards or penalties for this game are given based on how close (or absolutely wrong!) the guess is! The next gameplay module is the Gender Defender module, which is an adult trivia game intended
to test each players knowledge of the opposite sex. Gender Defender questions are intended to be easy for one sex to answer, yet difficult for the opposite sex to answer. Again, this is a non-sexual aspect of the game that facilitates some "cooling off" whilst allowing players to gain or lose cash.

Finally - and after all of the selected gameplay modules have been played for that player's "turn" - The Shopping Mall screen is displayed.
 The shopping mall, which allows players to buy or sell items. The Shopping Mall allows the current player to perform money-oriented tasks such as selling their
own clothing to gain cash, buying back clothes they have previously lost, buying sexy favors from the opposing player, buying Predicaments for the opposing player, canceling predicaments they might currently be in and stripping clothing away from the opposing player. When the current player has finished with the Shopping Mall they press the "Close" button to exit
the screen. The opposing player is now "up" and performs a turn or round as described above. The game continues this way until the end. Part 3: Ending a Game: We personally prefer the Manual Ending option, where both players decide they have had enough and quit when its enough already. There are other options that you can explore in the Game Options screen, but we do recommend quitting the game when either or both players decide its time - regardless of whichever setting you choose. |
